We are fifth-generation row crop farmers as well as first-generation raw dairy farmers. We are also local small business owners and have a passion for providing for our community.
Our journey to self-sustainability and a more holistic lifestyle began back in 2018. Three short months after getting married and moving into our first farmhouse, Micki became extremely ill. Thus began 18 months of testing, x-rays, MRIs, procedures, and trials with no answers. A misdiagnosis ultimately led her into the early stages of liver failure, which is when we finally decided to take matters into our own hands.
We sought care from a functional medical provider who discovered that we were suffering from mold poisoning. This diagnosis caused us to uproot our home and completely change our entire lifestyle. Our lifestyle change led to us growing and producing most of the food we consume, making non-toxic swaps for all of our consumables, and incorporating healthy habits.
After spending a year researching the benefits of raw milk and unsuccessfully finding a source for our family, we decided to take the life-altering plunge into getting our first milk cow - Ruth. The benefits we experienced from raw milk were unlike anything we had experienced before: allergies were gone, eczema was gone, digestion had regulated, body composition changed, acne had cleared, and so much more. We couldn't help but share it with people because we believe so strongly in how raw milk has changed our lives. And that, my friends, is how Erickson Farms was born.
Our mission statement at Erickson Farms is to grow wholesome, nutritious food while connecting the consumer with both the animals and the producers. We believe in sustainably raising our products and animals just the way God intended it. We love each and every one of our animals and pride ourselves in providing them with the best life we can in exchange for all that they provide for us.
